What happens

  1. Step 1: Tell us what you need
  2. Step 2: We look for a suitable local option
  3. Step 3: A suitable provider may contact you

How it works

  1. Step 1: Tell us what your child needs

Five short questions: your postcode, their age range, their current level and the kind of training you are after.

  2. Step 2: We check suitable local options

We compare your answers against the training providers we hold information for in your area.

  3. Step 3: A participating provider may contact you

If there is a suitable participating provider, we pass your enquiry to them so they can get in touch. If there is not, we will tell you.

Common reasons parents use SoccerChoice

You do not need to know exactly what you want. These are the needs we hear most often.
  • Extra training alongside club

Their club trains once or twice a week and you want more contact time with the ball.
  • General skills and development

Broad technical work — first touch, passing, dribbling, confidence on the ball.
  • Private / 1-to-1

One coach, one player. Usually for a specific weakness or a short focused block.
  • Small-group training

Three to six players. More individual attention than a squad session, less than 1-to-1.
  • Beginner development

They are new to soccer, or coming back to it, and need a patient starting point.
  • Advanced training

They are already playing at a higher level and want work pitched at that standard.
  • Goalkeeper training

Specialist keeper coaching — handling, positioning, distribution, shot-stopping.

Not sure which of these fits? Read how to choose, or answer the questions and we’ll work through it with you.

Independent and free for parents

SoccerChoice does not operate soccer academies or coaching programs. We help parents understand their options and connect with participating local providers.

How the matching works, in full

We do not coach
SoccerChoice runs no academies, no clinics and no sessions. We have no program of our own to steer you towards.
Free for parents
You are never charged for using SoccerChoice. Participating providers pay to receive enquiries.
We show you what we know
Where we do not hold confirmed information about a provider, we say so rather than guessing on your behalf.

Where we can help right now

SoccerChoice currently covers two cities. If you are outside them, you are welcome to submit an enquiry — we will keep it, but we may not have an option for you yet.
  • Sydney

    Training options for Sydney families.

  • Adelaide

    Training options for Adelaide families.

Questions parents ask

Short answers. The longer version is on how it works.
  • What does SoccerChoice cost?
Nothing. SoccerChoice is free for parents — participating providers pay us to receive enquiries. What the training itself costs is between you and the provider.
  • What do you ask about my child?
Five things: your postcode, your child’s age range — a band such as 9–11, not a date of birth — their current playing level, the kind of training you are looking for, and your first name with a phone number or email address.
  • What do you deliberately not ask for?
We do not ask for your child’s full name, surname, date of birth, school, photograph, medical or disability information, or your home address. We do not want that information and we have not built anywhere to put it.
  • What happens after I submit an enquiry?
We compare your answers against the training providers we hold information for in your area and rank the ones that fit. If there is a suitable participating provider, we pass your enquiry to them so they can get in touch. If there is not, we will tell you.
  • What if you cannot find anything suitable?
We will say so rather than sending you the nearest thing. We keep the enquiry either way — so our team can review it, and so we know there is demand where you are.
  • Why do you sometimes say you don’t know?
Our information about providers is incomplete. Where we have not confirmed something — whether they coach goalkeepers, say, or take beginners — we treat it as unknown rather than as a yes. Being sent to a provider who cannot help you wastes your Saturday.
  • Where does SoccerChoice operate?
Sydney and Adelaide. If you are somewhere else you are welcome to submit an enquiry — we will keep it, and it tells us where to look for providers next — but we may not have an option for you yet.
  • Does SoccerChoice run the coaching?
No. SoccerChoice does not operate soccer academies or coaching programs, and runs no clinics or sessions of its own. We help parents understand their options and connect with participating local providers.
